Style Reigns Supreme at the 2021 CMA Awards

The best part about the Country Music Association Awards is that the timing is perfect. The next award show season picks up in January and we just finished the last of this year’s awards back in September with the VMA’s and the Emmy’s. At the start of the winter months, we are dying for some red carpet fashion coverage and the 2021 CMA Awards are here to save the day.

This year’s pinnacle of country music took place in the promised land for the musical genre — Nashville, Tennessee — and was hosted by the first solo host in 18 years, American Idol judge and CMA Award-winning artist Luke Bryan. While the award show itself was exciting and the performances were heart-wrenchingly wonderful, we all know why we are really here… the fashionable jewelry!

As usual, I was joined by members of Stuller’s talented and stylish fine jewelry team to help me pick the top looks from the red carpet. Not only are we picking our favorite icons of the night, but we are also pairing them with the best accessories inspired by the stars. Join Stuller’s Kristen Ber, Taylor Beadle, and myself as we share which styles we believed shined the brightest at the 2021 CMA Awards.

Caroline Bryan: Hearts are On Fire

CMA Awards host Luke Bryan absolutely killed it as a host and all of his looks for the evening were top notch. But let’s talk about the real hero in the Bryan family this evening — his wife, Caroline Bryan. We were absolutely in love with her heart-themed gown from the red carpet and felt she stole the show. After seeing her, we were the physical representation of the heart-eyes emoji 😍.

With a style that stands out as much as that dress did, we just have to pair it with some heart-themed pieces of our own. From a subtle heart chain to a pair of lip studs that will make you blow a kiss, Caroline Bryan had us simply inspired.

Jimmie Allen: Pretty in Pink

Have you heard of this year’s New Artist of the Year winner Jimmie Allen? Well you will now! Jimmie Allen came to the red carpet to be noticed and we sure did. Showing off in a matching pink vest, pants, and hat, his shirt also featured pink rose statements. There was no way this look wouldn’t be a favorite. Congratulations on the win, Jimmie!

With such a bold look, we had to search for the perfect pop of color. We chose a couple of pieces showcasing Pink Sapphire and Rhodalite Garnet that would accent any bold statement.

Kelsea Ballerini: Classic and Clean

Jimmie Allen is not the only winner we spotted on the red carpet last night. Kelsea Ballerini walked away with not one, but TWO CMA Awards — Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year. We want to add just one more award for this star-studded winner: Best Dressed! We fell in love with her simple and classic, yet trendy all-white ensemble. Another congratulatory shout out to this beautiful CMA Award recipient!

This clean and white look was a no-brainer when we were thinking of pieces that would best complement her style. The new white enameled pieces recently added to 302® Fine Jewelry would look perfect with her outfit and keep her accessories fresh.

Katy Perry: Elegance With Pearls

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by KATY PERRY TOURS (@katyperrytours)

Surprise! Were you expecting to see Katy Perry at a country music award show? Neither were we… but we are NOT mad about it at all. The award-winning pop sensation wore a brown leather dress that helped make the long pearl necklace she donned the star of her look. This is a perfect example of the modern take on classic pearls and we were obsessed.

If you have been following us this year, you know that we will take every opportunity to feature pearls. These timeless classics are breaking through the younger generations in new and exciting ways. We picked a few pieces that Katy’s red carpet style inspired combined with yellow gold and even a few diamonds.

Maddie and Tae: Green With Envy

A post shared by Country Music Association (@cma)

Closing out our favorite picks from the 2021 CMA Awards red carpet is Maddie and Tae. Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye, also known as Maddie and Tae, were the perfect duo in green ensembles. While the pair did not win Vocal Duo of the Year, we are happy to award them with a top red carpet look.

For this matching pair, we felt they deserved a matching look. Combine our Peridot bezel-set beaded necklace and matching earrings for a style fit to walk amongst the stars.

87600 87598

Well that’s a wrap on award show events from 2021! We are happy to see the return of the red carpet this year and noticed that the stars have fully embraced their best fashion this year. Our team is excited for what’s in store next year and you can be sure you’ll be the first to find out.

The 2021 INSTORE Design Awards

Stuller is happy to announce the winners of this year’s 6th annual INSTORE Design Awards. We are so excited to honor these Stuller designers for their hard work and imagination! Our designers were eager to show off the designs that they have been working on during the pandemic.

Let the Stars Align

In the category of Personalized Jewelry, Stuller won 2nd place with our 14K Yellow Amethyst & Diamond Sagittarius Zodiac Constellation Necklace (87512:152:P).

14k yellow amethyst and diamond sagittarius zodiac constellation necklace design

This piece was inspired by the Sun Signs’ constellations and utilized Zodiac birthstones instead of the more traditionally used month birthstones. The featured stones have beautiful color and deep personal meaning, with sparkling dotted diamonds scattered with pierced details. This piece is a very modern, clean geometric take on zodiac jewelry with a clipped corner, dog tag style look.

Classic Meets Modern

For Pearl Jewelry Under $5,000, we placed 1st with our 14K Yellow Cultured Seed Pearl Hoop Earrings (87392:100:P).

14k yellow cultured seed pearl hoop earring design

These earrings are fantastic little pearl hoops as well as a twist on a classic work by stationing the pearls along the outer edges of the earrings.

Lab-Grown Luxury

Stuller won both 1st and 2nd place in the category Laboratory-Created Diamond or Gemstone Jewelry. In 1st place was our 14K White Bezel-Set Graduated Lab-Grown Diamond Earrings (653632:LG604:P).

14k white bezel-set graduated lab-grown diamond earring design

Our design team loves coming up with designs that are mindful of current trends but will stand the test of time. For these earrings, we used a graduating set of our simple bezel settings, set with brilliant lab-grown diamonds that will be sure to turn heads! These elongated diamond-linked earrings have a fluid tapered design that beautifully articulates when worn.

In 2nd place was our 14K White Lab-Grown Diamond Graduated 16″ Necklace (653717:LG101:P).

This piece is an essential yet modern layering necklace. This necklace may be a simple look, but it packs a punch while staying within budget. Our team loves designing styles that utilize the benefits of its stones. With a high carat weight item like this, it is the perfect use for beautiful lab-grown diamonds.

For a Love That Lasts

In the category of Best Engagement/Wedding Jewelry Under $5,000, Stuller was awarded 2nd place with our 14K Yellow 6.5 mm Round Diamond Halo-Style Engagement Ring (124477:137:P).

14k yellow round diamond halo-style engagement ring design

This is a romantic halo engagement ring that our design team loved creating. The oversized proportions of the accents make this piece a modern standout bridal engagement ring while also including an antique feeling. Placing the prongs along the outermost edges gives the halo a delicate look while keeping the stones protected. We enjoy the design challenges in coming up with new halo layouts, as once you layer in stone size, cut, and prong positioning, the creative possibilities are endless! We love playing with all the different looks and combinations that we can create when using fancy accents and stone layouts for a very antique-inspired look.

Look to the Stars

Stuller placed 3rd in Best Necklace Under $5,000 with our 14K Yellow Diamond Moon Phase Bar Necklace (87526:108:P).

14k yellow diamond moon phase bar necklace design

We wanted to create a personal and simplistic piece that tells the story for our 302® Fine Jewelry line. This piece was inspired by all of the celestial, zodiac, and natural motifs we see happening in the fashion and design world. We love using negative space as a design detail, and the diamond accents elevate this piece to feel truly special.

For the Modern Man

In Alternative Materials Jewelry, Stuller won 2nd place with our Black & 18K Yellow Tungsten Grooved Band With Hammer Finish (TAR52125).

black and 18 k yellow tungsten grooved band with hammer finish design

This is a contemporary take on a classic band in a popular black and hammered finish with Black PVD and a gold highlight. The off-center groove helps to accentuate the flat band’s proportions by making this a very modern look. This band was designed with a hip groom in mind for those who aren’t looking for the standard half-round band.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Stuller won 1st place in Best Bracelet over $5,000 with the 14K White Diamond Curb Bracelet (BRC822:601:P).

14k white diamond curb bracelet design

This standout bracelet was designed to have a fluid movement and a concealed clasp, with diamond accents along with the oversized curb chain links. The bracelet was intended to move with the wearer while catching the perfect light at any angle. A fabulous bracelet to wear alone or nest well with any well-curated wrist stack.

A Touch of Color

For Best Earring Under $5,000 category, Stuller placed 3rd with the 14K Yellow Multi-Gemstone & 1/5 CTW Diamond Hoop Earrings (87445110:P).

14k yellow multi-gemstone and diamond hoop earrings

These fun-loving earrings were designed to have a stacked look when worn. The stones have pops of gemstone color with rich blue sapphires and bright aquas, making them an eclectic layering look for any hoop enthusiast.

Warm and Rosy

And for the last category, Best Price Point Under $500, Stuller won 2nd place with our 14K Rose Diamond Huggies (653650:602:P).

14k rose diamond huggie earrings

These sweet, huggie hoops are a fresh take on a classic from our design team. The geometric cuts of the baguette diamonds shine beautifully when worn by adding interest to the standard diamond-hinged hoop. We were excited to see baguettes being layered in all sorts of stackable styles recently and wanted to add some great new hoops to the modern “earscape” trend!

We are once again so proud of our designers for their incredible talent and creative insight. Make sure to check out the other winning pieces at INSTORE.

Star-studded Fashion at the 2021 OSCARS

2019 Oscar Award Jewelry Trends Blog Banner

As the crown jewel of this year’s adjusted award season, last night’s Academy Awards held up to the pandemic-era standard. Although the red carpet and attendee list was reduced for this year’s event, those who were in attendance made their presence count. If you’re looking to know exactly what the latest and greatest in fashion is, just look at this year’s star-studded celebrities attending the Oscars.

This year, Shelby and Taylor from Stuller’s fine jewelry team are giving their expert opinions on what styles topped of their lists. Follow along for all the fashion inspo you’ve been waiting for.

Shelby’s Take: Diamonds Shined Bright

Even though expectations might have been lowered for another socially distanced award show, Shelby was pleasantly surprised at the elegance that took the stage.

“Although this year’s show may have been scaled down in attendance, diamond fashion was definitely scaled all the way up,” she said. “Whether it’s Zendaya’s canary diamond suite or Isla Fisher’s stacked line necklaces, carat weight seemed to outweigh the 8.5 pound gold keepsakes across the board.”

Enjoy Shelby’s top trends from the evening.

Canary Diamonds

Spring is in the air and that means everyone is looking for the perfect splash of color. Zendaya and Andra Day were seen making their own splash on the red carpet last night sporting beautiful pieces set with sunshine-inspired stones.

Canary yellow diamonds (DIAMOND-GEN:298100:G) are the perfect complement to any piece, such as earrings and rings. Try setting a square engagement ring mounting (122394:1581:P) or stunning teardrop earrings (84396:116:P) with diamonds that give you a spark of colorful inspiration.

Line Necklaces

Continuing on with the love of diamonds, Shelby noticed that diamond line necklaces were the real ultimate accessory of the evening. Vanessa Kirby, Isla Fisher, and Tiara Thomas were all seen sporting eye-catching diamond line necklaces. Simple in design, but truly stunning in effect. Another great fact about this trend is that is not isolated to just women. Daniel Kaluuya from “Judas and the Black Messiah” also grabbed Shelby’s attention with his own stunning line necklace. Everyone loves a versatile piece!

The beauty and elegance of this accessory cannot be emphasized enough. For a classic appeal, choose a white gold line necklace set with natural diamonds (68226:101:P). For a more progressive style, enjoy a stunning graduated line necklace set with lab-grown diamonds (653717:LG101:P).

Ear Climbers

Who doesn’t love a good stackable trend? Shelby certainly does and noticed that Regina King glowed with diamond ear climbers as she made her directing debut this season. Producer of the feature documentary “Collective” Bianca Oana also looked beautiful with floral-inspired ear climbers. Floral-inspired accessories in fashion are standing out and are more than just a seasonal favorite.

A post shared by Regina King (@iamreginaking)

Finding floral-inspired climbers to add to an ear stack collection is an absolute necessity. Shelby’s top recommendations include two gorgeous earring climbers (86946:600:P and 81221:60000:P).

Taylor’s Take: The Award Goes to Layers

In Taylor’s opinion, the real Academy Award winner is a solid layered combination, particularly on the fingers and wrists.

“Celebrities were layering on the jewelry after their year-long break from the red carpet,” she said. “Chunky rings were having a moment on both men and women! Lots of stacks happening on the fingers and wrists. Why wear one ring when you can wear five?”

Honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Check out Taylor’s favorite looks from the evening.

Chunky Rings

Ring stacks are a prominent look among men and women with last night being no exception. Colman Domingo and Trish Summerville were perfect examples of having stunning ring stacks made with beautifully chunky rings.

Finding ring statements for both daily wear or formal occasions are all about expressing personal style. Choose from Stuller’s selection of dome rings that truly go with anything (124572, 72173, 52257, and 5206).

Rings weren’t the only chunky accessories that saw some love last night. Taylor had a keen eye and noticed some chain pieces capturing attention. Lakeith Stanfield featured chain both on his neck and wrist. He took a bold look to another level and really made us love this modern trend even more.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by The Academy (@theacademy)

It’s no secret that we love the chain trend, so we are happy to take any opportunity to feature a favorite piece. Stanfield’s look reminded Taylor of a stunning accented curb bracelet (BRC822:601:P) in our collection that would look perfect for someone seeking to stand out.

Colored Accents

Taylor agreed with Shelby that it was clear that a splash of color was a clear favorite last night. Angela Basset joined Zendaya and Andra Day in the world of color with jaw-droppingly gorgeous earrings that went perfectly with her vibrant red ensemble.

Colorful gemstones deserve their chance to grab attention as well! Pairing gemstones and diamonds together make a match made in heaven, as seen with these lab-grown ruby and diamond accented dangle earrings (86989:6020:P).

Award Show Beauty

Shout out to Shelby and Taylor for giving us their hot takes on this year’s fashion seen at the Oscars. As expected, the Academy Awards did not disappoint in the realm of fashion last night. Judging from Shelby and Taylor’s picks, styles that are bold and make a statement are where you should take inspiration. We can’t wait to see where these looks go throughout the year!

If you’ve read any of my awards show blogs before, you know I am a huge fan of Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes. Not only does her music make me happy, but her consistent simple jewelry style resonates with my personal style. Ugh, queen.

Here, my girl Britt is seen wearing not one but two pinky rings. That’s a trend I can get behind, considering one of my favorite new pieces from Stuller lately is this Cherub pinky ring.

Honorable Mention

This is it… the moment I’ve been waiting my whole career for. My honorable mention for this year’s GRAMMY Awards Show goes to my favorite person, the love of my life, the person I look up to the most… HARRY STYLES!

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Recording Academy / GRAMMYs (@recordingacademy)

Harry has forever been one of my favorite examples of androgynous jewelry-wearers. He is a modern male pioneer of jewelry for men, and let me just say, I am here for it. Last night, Harry chose a more laid-back approach, with his signature rings and cross necklace. I wish he would’ve worn the pearls that he sports oh-so-well, but I don’t question any of the choices he makes. He can do no wrong in my eyes.

Be like Harry and celebrate your faith with symbols that tell the story of who you are.

Fonda was the recipient of the Cecil B. deMille Award for her contributions to the industry – a well-deserved recognition. A staple in men’s fashion, selecting the right watch can really finish the perfect look for a man of any style. 5 Looks to Love From the 2020 CMA Awards

Last night’s Country Music Association Awards was truly one for the books and proved to be a star-studded close of the 2020 award season. Held in Nashville’s Music City Center, this year’s CMA’s stood out against other award shows this year because it is the only award show to be held mostly in person. Although with a substantially reduced and intimate audience, the show gave a feeling of almost normality with show-stopping performances, live applause, and stunning looks.

This year’s attendees definitely dressed up for the occasion and inspired us with how they chose to accessorize. Let’s take a look at our top 5 favorite pieces from this year’s CMA’s and find Stuller products that can help recreate these fashion statements.

Reba McEntire’s Hoop Earrings

A seasoned CMA awards host and a legendary performer, Reba naturally knows how to capture attention when she enters the room. From her tribute performance with co-host Darius Rucker to her multiple fashion ensembles, Reba certainly left her mark on us. One of her prominent accessories we loved was her golden hoops she paired with her unique and stunning beaded black collared dress. Just like Reba, they are classy, yet stated.

Grab attention like Reba with a pair of inside-outside hinged hoop earrings (61378).

Maren Morris’s Ring Stack

Maren Morris was the big winner at last night’s CMA awards taking home Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year. As a new mom, she was certainly eager to finally be out of the house and dressed to impress – and we loved it! What caught our attention was her glittering dress she wore while performing her award-winning song “The Bones.” Complementing the dress was an excellent selection of stackable rings.

Be bold like Maren and add to your stackable collection. Make a statement with an accented stackable ring (124453) or choose a more subtle diamond stackable ring (653716).

Justin Bieber’s Gold Watch Band

Justin Bieber CMA Awards 2020

Country music is not the first genre of choice when you think of Justin Bieber. Nevertheless, he was nominated for three CMA awards for his collaboration with artists Dan + Shay on their hit song “10,000 Hours.” While not in attendance for the in-person award show, the trio performed from the Hollywood Bowl to no audience. The performance was phenomenal, and we are glad they could make it. Bieber dressed up his normal casual urban streetwear with high waisted dress pants and a gold watch. We loved this look because it is a perfect example of trending fashion among the younger generation.

Accessorize like Justin Bieber with an extremely cost-effective spring-end adjustable link watch band (59-0103).

Carly Pearce’s Emerald Drop Earrings

Recipient of Music Event of the Year for her song “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” Carly Pearce showed up ready to make an impression. In a floor-length green dress with a slit up to the thigh, she accessorized with a matching pair of emerald drop earrings. She said she styled that look with her mom, which definitely warmed our hearts.

Experience blissful happiness like Carly Pearce with a round bar earring mounting (22137) set with emeralds or your gemstone of choice.

Ingrid Andress’ Matching Necklace and Bracelet

Ingrid Andress CMA Awards 2020

CMA performer Ingrid Andress brought us and herself to tears performing her song “More Hearts Than Mine.” But it was actually her red-carpet look that caught our attention first. Sporting a deconstructed Tom Ford suit, she paired it with matching diamond necklace and bracelet. These pieces truly pulled her outfit together.

Add a piece that could bring someone to tears like Ingrid Andress with a diamond necklace (68226) and matching diamond line bracelet (BRC445).

Shining Stars: Oscars 2020 Jewelry Trends

Shining Stars: Oscars 2020 Jewelry Trends

Did you happen to watch the 92nd Academy Awards last night? How are we feeling about the jewelry looks from the red carpet?

Last night, we saw actors, directors, musicians, and others get together to celebrate the art of cinema. Parasite, a South Korean dark comedy thriller, took home Best Picture, which is HUGE considering it is the first foreign-language film to win. Parasite director, Bong Joon-ho, received the award for Best Director. Joaquin Pheonix scored big as the Best Actor for his performance in Joker, and Renée Zellweger as Best Actress for her role in Judy. Notably, Zack Gottsagen made history by being the first person with Down syndrome to present an award, and Joker composer Hildur Guðnadóttir is the first woman to win Best Original Score in two decades.

A few weeks ago, we saw BIG and BOLD looks come out of the GRAMMYs. Last night, in true Oscars fashion, celebs toned it down while keeping it classy. I saw a common theme last night – keep it simple!  A lot of celebrities chose to leave their jewelry at home and focus on their clothing choices. That being said, there were some outliers who decided to rock some quintessential adornments.

Here are the hottest 2020 Oscars jewelry trends–

Chic Ear Candy

There were a lot of simplistic styles displayed on the red carpet. Most celebs opted for earrings to be their statement piece–in a subtle way. Brie Larson, Natalie Portman, and Sandra Oh keep it chill in trendy earrings.87219                                       87160                                    650183

Walk On the Wild Side

I can’t say that these jewelry looks were extremely daring, but given the overall vibe of the awards show, these celebrities stepped out of the box with some more interesting pieces. Zazie Beetz beamed in emerald fashion, Saoirse Ronan sparkled in some sizable gemstone rings, and Chelsea Winstanley was glowing in golden statement pieces!

86950                                       72086                                   CH897

Let’s Hear It for the Boys

On to what I believe is my favorite category… men’s jewelry styles! I may be biased because I love men’s jewelry in general (I may or may not wear a lot of my dad’s old jewelry), but there were a few stand-out celebs that encompassed the elegance of menswear jewelry. Brad Pitt wore a single yellow gold band, Mahershala Ali sported a simple pendant on his necklace, and Billy Porter flaunted a delicate pearl bracelet.

Honorable Mention

My honorable mention for the Oscars is Cynthia Erivo. She looked like an angel in her dress surrounded by all the diamonds. Sadly, my girl did not take home an Oscar, meaning she is not an EGOT winner… but there’s always next year.

OSCARS 2018 Jewelry Trends to Own This Season

OSCARS 2018 jewelry trends Blog Header

On March 4th, the 90th Academy Awards ceremony aired on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The show, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, focused heavily on gender equality and the #TimesUp movement — much like the Golden Globes and GRAMMYs earlier this year. And how about that incredible stage design featuring over 45 million Swarovski crystals? See details about how the shimmering set was engineered in the video below.

As usual, the fashion was on-point this year, bringing forth a few front-running OSCARS 2018 jewelry trends. Hollywood’s brightest stars shined in red, white, and blush this year on the red carpet. From Meryl Streep to Allison Janney to Armie Hammer, red was the most radical color at the OSCARS. We saw tons of white wearers like Jane Fonda, Mary J Blige, Margo Robbie, and Timothée Chalamet. And there was a spectrum of pink, from Gina Rodriguez’s soft rose sequined dress to Viola Davis’ hot pink gown to Ashley Judd’s Ultra Violet dress which epitomized Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year.

As expected, the OSCARS jewelry did not disappoint, with platinum-set diamonds topping the night’s trends. Dramatic drop earrings were seen far and wide throughout the event, along with the big three gemstones. Watches made quite a splash this year too, with men wielding big brands like IWC Schaffhausen and Montblanc. Rolex, a proud sponsor of the OSCARS, even aired an inspiring commercial to celebrate the art of storytelling.

And The Oscar Goes To…

It’s jewelry’s biggest night – diamonds, drama, deep v’s, and divas don the red carpet for their time to shine. From Jessica’s golden fringe to Ruth’s ruby wear to Scarlett’s rocker chic, the 89th annual Academy Awards had a little something for every jewelry-lovers’ palette. Overarching trends like soft feminine details, golden glows, ruby reds, and of course, statements galore, emerged from all angles. Flowing free forms, ear cuffs, and impressive drops also made subtle splashes. And while we could go on and on – it is the final show of the awards season after all – we’ll keep it short with some of our own inspired styles.
