DTC Sightholder presents smart solutions to industry’s tough issues
Lafayette, LA (15 July 2009) — Stuller, Inc. recently hosted the inaugural Stuller Advantage Owners Conference at its global headquarters in Lafayette, Louisiana.
“The vision behind this event comes from a desire to facilitate an open, honest dialogue about how we can work together to overcome the hurdles we currently face in this great industry,” says Matt Stuller, president, founder and CEO of Stuller. “It is our hope that retailers are energized and inspired to seize the new opportunities these trying times have thrust upon us.”
Based on the theme of Changing the Business of Jewelry, the conference was designed to present storeowners with numerous solutions that reduce cash investments and raise profitability. The Owners Conference hosted several well-known industry experts and media professionals who offered their opinions on the state of the industry.
The event, which featured educational seminars and interactive demonstrations in a range of topics from computer aided design (CAD) to effective social networking, thoroughly examined the dynamics of change. The conference ended on a high note with an editor’s panel featuring: Cheryl Kremkow, Modern Jeweler Magazine; Rob Bates, JCK Magazine; Hedda Schupak, formerly with JCK Magazine; Whitney Sielaff, National Jeweler Magazine and Trace Shelton, Indesign and Instore Magazine.
“As we began sharing the concept of this event with many retailers, we were pleasantly surprised with how popular and timely the idea became,” said Mr. Stuller. “So, we simply ran out of space to include all that wanted to participate. We hope to continue hosting these conferences so that all of our customers have the chance to attend. In the meantime, we will be making all of the innovative and digital selling solutions we introduce available to all retailers at stuller.com.”
