Welcome to another red carpet roundup from Stuller! After being postponed, I am so excited we finally got our night at the Oscars. If you missed last night’s Academy Awards, I promise it was absolutely incredible. From CODA winning best picture of the year to Will Smith providing us with an unexpected reaction, the night was incredibly memorable and the fashion was just as brilliant as the stars that wore them.
I was joined by Kristen and Taylor from Stuller’s fine jewelry team as we watched red carpet coverage to find this year’s hottest styles. Serpent-Inspired Jewelry
We were ssssimply taken away by this next trend. Serpent-inspired jewelry featuring stunning snakes were striking accents for a couple of stars last night. Kristen’s fashion eagle eye caught a couple of celebrities on the carpet with the most amazing serpent-inspired pieces.
While not always everyone’s favorite animal, snakes and serpents represent confidence and fierce energy — two vibes definitely seen by Zendaya and Billy Porter last night. Zendaya’s subtle take on serpent-inspired jewelry also came with a huge WOW factor, stacking several diamond-encrusted snakes down both arms and around her neck — and she rocked it! Billy’s snake bracelet perfectly complemented his glittering diamond ensemble and he shined like the true star he is.

A Splash of Color
Why choose one color when all of them are beautiful and make for eye-catching statements? Personally, I love seeing colored gemstones being featured so prominently. A handful of stars from last night shown bright with stunning color, but one in particular stood out to us. Taylor chimed in with her thoughts on the most colorful of attendees.
Rainbows are a nod to the retro revival from the 1970s that is really trending in the jewelry space. We are seeing styles that incorporate colorful gemstones as well as several colorful pieces to curate personal rainbows. Social media influencer Rickey Thomas created his own splash of color with a vibrant ear stack that definitely caught my eye along with his vibrant outfit. I can’t wait to watch more people show their true colors with this exciting trend!

Speaking of a splash of color, let’s take a moment to just love on pairing colored gemstones with diamonds. I adore seeing vibrant emeralds showcased with diamonds. Our celebrities definitely delivered in selecting pieces that will be remembered.
I am just obsessed with seeing how emeralds are being paired with diamonds. That pop of green is stunning against the sparkle of diamonds and is a true star of the show, as you can see with Vanessa Hudgens and Tiffany Haddish. Celestial Meets Grand Millennial
Figures the stars would showcase one of our favorite rising trends: celestial-inspired jewelry. With clear summer nights coming soon, I can’t wait to take a look at the stars above. That’s why I’m so happy to see one attendee in particular don an incredible statement piece that not only seems to be inspired by the stars, but also from styles of the past. Taylor puts it perfectly.
Two of my favorite trends are celestial jewelry and grand millennial — a love of vintage-inspired styles. Last night, Lupita Nyong’o absolutely killed it by combining both of these styles with starburst earrings and matching ring. Lupita always kills it on the red carpet and she definitely was a star-studded celeb last night.

While our experts have given their opinions, I’m going to chime in and provide my personal favorite as an honorable mention.
One of the most classic styles that we are raving over is diamond studs. Whether you wear just one or have a full ear party stacked with multiple, diamond stud earrings are absolutely essential and last night proved that. Celebrities from the carpet proved that diamond studs are not only beautifully elegant, but they are also getting bigger and better. Tracee Ellis Ross and Nicole Kidman were two of my favorites. Even off the red carpet, Reba McEntyre showed off a pair of stunning diamond stud earrings as she performed Somehow You Do during the show. They wore simple, classic diamond studs at varying carat weights proving that this timeless style belongs on the red carpet.
