1st Place Winner: Natural Peridot & Lab-Grown Emerald Dangle Earrings

“When I’m designing a piece of jewelry, I try to imagine the role it will play in the wearer’s life. Jewelry can serve so many functions: a symbol of love, a talisman, a family heirloom, or a memento. When someone chooses a piece of jewelry to wear, they are expressing their individuality. It is my job to design jewelry that appeals to many people while maintaining that special ‘one-of-a-kind’ feeling.”

1st Place Winner: Natural Sky Blue Topaz Line Bracelet

“Our conceptual design team is always on the pulse of what is trending across our industry. They take what’s currently moving across loose gemstones and diamonds, and factor if any preferences are changing within set types — and then layer in their own creative take on what we haven’t seen yet in our assortment. They use all of this information to make a new design that hits the right combination of look, functionality, and price point. I love seeing their creative takes win such high awards at JCK/INSTORE, it’s so wonderful to see their hard work recognized by our peers!"

My team and I study the market, visit jewelry shows, and work closely with our merchant team to make sure that our designs are on the cutting edge of trending styles. "We do extensive research on what is trending — not only in the jewelry industry but also in the fashion and home décor industries as well. Our research involves extensive dives into digital and printed articles, imagery, social media, and more. We attend lectures given by trend forecasters, travel to industry trade shows, and visit museum exhibits we know will have an influence on design. These are practices we keep consistent with to ensure we always create jewelry that blends modernity with classic beauty to make each design a lasting treasure."
