15 Rapid-Fire Questions With the President

1. How did you find Stuller? 

I drove by and saw the globe out front. It looked like they were thinking big, and I was intrigued. I like to think big!

2. What roles have you held at Stuller?

I’ve worked in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, and IT.

3. How long have you been the President?

10 years

4. What kind of interactions do you appreciate most from others?

Straightforward with optimism and determination 

5. How do you like to stay involved in the community?

I enjoy supporting our Stuller Cares initiative. That keeps me busy! 

6. What is something you do to value your wellness?

I love playing tennis.

7. What is the last book you read?

The Sellout by Paul Beatty

8. What achievement are you most proud of?

My work here at Stuller — the work isn’t done! 

9. How do you stay inspired and motivated in your role?

I am always thinking about what is next. I am good at moving forward. 

10. What’s your favorite customer event?

My favorite customer interaction is when I am visiting them on their turf.

11. What legacy are you working to leave behind at Stuller?

It is about the big lever — the people. 

12. How many times have you changed offices or workspaces during your 15 years at Stuller?

15…I think. 

13. How has your perspective on leadership evolved since you first took on the role of President?

Leadership is about helping people reach their potential. That has remained as my constant focus. 

14. What’s a surprising hobby or interest you have?

I have 30 pair of tennis shoes. I hide new ones when they come to the house. Don’t tell!

15. What is a quote or mantra you often refer to or recommend to others?

The pursuit of the truth at all cost

16. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give to your younger self?

It is going to be rocky — don’t get lost. 

17. What piece of advice would you offer to those just starting their careers here at Stuller?

You’ve joined a great company. Now it is up to you! 

Danny's impact on the organization is impossible to put into words, but it is seen and felt throughout the building and the people — he is constantly pushing boundaries and inspiring us to be better and do better. In my 10+ years, I've never known Stuller without him. I am truly appreciative for all of the time I've gotten with Danny and the lessons I've learned from him. Cheers to the next milestone — the best is surely yet to come!
