In a whirlwind of jewelry, tools, drinks, parties, and mingling, this year’s JCK Las Vegas show came and went. It was here before I knew it, but gone before I could break in my new favorite heels. I feel like Vegas is “the big wedding” of the industry. We spend all year brainstorming, developing, testing, and prepping the best items to showcase. We pour countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears into countless stacks of marketing materials, promotional items, and elevator speeches. And on that first day at Mandalay Bay, I walk onto the show floor proud of what we’ve accomplished.
So, I want to share some of the crowd favorites with you from our Plumb Club and Equipment, Tools, and Supplies booths. Here’s what folks couldn’t get enough of:
Plumb Club
The fine jewelry hub of the show, the Plumb Club features everything that sparkles, glitters, and shines. And, no, you can’t look away.
We launched some great new styles this year in family jewelry like these necklaces in the popular bar and infinity motifs.
New geometric and linear designs were a huge favorite.
Big, open, and airy rings featuring diamonds and negative space were trending as well.
JCK served as the launch pad for our new bridal proposition, Ever&Ever™. Featuring 122 new and best-selling styles, this has it all – consumer marketing materials, unique online shopping experiences, product refreshes, and even cute little discreet ring boxes for the nervous groom-to-be.
Moissanite and Black Box Sapphires were the center of conversation at the gemstone counter. And our 74-facet Riente diamonds™ stole the show in diamonds along with our 90-day memo program.
Equipment, Tools and Supplies
ETS is always a blur. So many tools, so little time. Here are some of the highlights:
Easy Cast used for easily casting precious metals, including platinum.
Orion Pulse Welder 200i. This model takes that next leap forward by delivering the most innovative and versatile welder on the market.
Diamond Inscription Reading Microscope. Perfect for jewelers, outlets, wholesalers, retailers, or students.
Mounted Miniature Geza Brush. A Geza brush mounted with this toothed-shaped brush is made of high-quality chung-king and goat-hair bristles making it the perfect brush for deep, interproximal and occlusal polishing.
Presidium Multi Tester III. Back by popular demand, this tester is made for both right and left-handers.
Findings
The buzz in findings came from the announcement of a brand new, comprehensive catalog dropping this fall.
New settings, platinum, and our new Swiss Backs v2 weren’t far behind.
And below is our latest version of the Swissback that made its debut at JCK. It’s not currently available for purchase but to look at version 1 click here.
And to round out the ETS experience, mini engagement ring boxes, black boxes/totes featuring black logos, brightly colored tissue paper, and exotic watchstraps were turning heads in our packaging and display area. These items are so fresh we don’t have them for sale quite yet. Check back with use soon as to when they’ll be available.
Vegas is always a good time – great atmosphere, great food, and even better friends. So until 2016 JCK, Viva Las Vegas!
